Oficio del Gobernador de Entre Ríos, Ri­cardo López Jordán, al Ministro de Relaciones Exteriores, Doctor Mariano Varela, comunicándole el desembarco en Gualeguaychú del General Emilio Mitre, donde estableció su cuartel ge­neral y licenció tropas. Con este motivo fueron comisionados el General Nicolás de la Vega y el Doctor Antonio Zarco, para demostrar la inconveniencia de esta medida, por la alarma que causa en la provincia y la ninguna necesidad de mantener a dicho representante, ya que el Ejecutivo Nacional puede contar con la total neutralidad de Entre Ríos en la guerra que existe en el Uruguay; solicita por tanto el reembarque de estas fuerzas na­cionales.
