Oficio del Gobernador de Salta, Felipe Heredia, al Papa Gregorio XVI, solicitándole provea a ese Obis pado del Pastor de que por tantos años ha estado privado; reco mienda para esta dignidad al Deán José Gabriel de Figueroa, quien se desempeña en el Provisorato desde 1812, nombrado por el obispo Nicolás Videla y reelegido en 1819 hasta el Breve ex pedido por su Santidad en favor del canónigo José Agustín Mo lina. Solicita asimismo la división del Obispado, dada la extensión de éste, estando los otros gobiernos de acuerdo con ella. Firmas: Felipe Heredia - Marcos Paz.
